In the early hours of October 29th, 2021, Wilma B. Simons was called home by her Heavenly Father. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her children. The sun rose and the world welcomed Wilma on September 29th, 1919, a day the world became a little brighter. Wilma lived a full and warm life, filled with joy. She will be lovingly remembered and forever missed.
Wilma met and married the love of her life, Clayton “Bud” Simons in 1954 and the two were inseparable, a real life love story. Wilma and Bud were married for over 50 years and had 3 children, Sue, Kent and Jody. Wilma was a fiercely dedicated mother to all of her children, raising them to go on to live full and happy lives of their own. Family came first and was above all else to Wilma. The hole left by her absence will be impossible to fill.
Wilma loved her friends and enjoyed their time spent together. She was always quick to offer a cup of coffee and a piece of pie. She loved reminiscing.
Wilma was predeceased by her husband, Clayton Simons, her mother and father James and Alta Graham, six sisters and two brothers and a great grandchild. She is survived by her children Sue (Lee), Kent and Jody (Joel), 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren, her wonderful helper and friend, Barbara Tomlinson and her beloved kittycat, Junebug.
A 1:00 p.m. funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Johnson- Feuerstein Funeral Home in Belding. Pastor Mike Simmons officiating. No visitation will take place. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memory Gardens for immediate family. Luncheon to follow at the Belrockton. The family requests that masks be worn at the funeral and luncheon.
