Virginia M. Toleson, 87, of Shiloh, passed away on Wednesday evening February 26th, 2020, under the loving care of her family and Compassus Hospice.
Virginia was born on April 27, 1932 in Belding, the daughter of Irvin J. and Luella (Griffin) Roberts. She graduated from Belding High School with the class of 1950. Throughout her life Virginia was a stay at home mom, who loved to care for her children and grandchildren, tend her garden, flower beds, and an occasional bus trip. Virginia had lived in the village of Shiloh since the early 1950’s, and in earlier years, she attended Shiloh Community Church. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Virginia is loved and survived by her children; Marjorie (Mark) Simon of DeWitt, Bill Toleson of Phoenix, Mike (Cindy) Toleson of Orleans, Anne (Craig) Wandel of Muir, her grandchildren; Mark “Ed” Simon, Krista (Terrell) Gee, Christopher Toleson, Sandy Jarles, Amanda Wilson, Wendy Byrnes, Mandy LeBouef, Seth Wandel, six great grandchildren, and a sister in law; Bonna Roberts of Belding. She is preceded in death by her husband; William in 1993, her parents, two sisters; Betty and Jean, and two brothers; Irvin and Jerry.
Memorial services will be 2pm Saturday, February 29th, 2020 at Johnson Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Interment will be in the spring in Orleans Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Disabled Veterans of America or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
