Verna L. Wilson

Verna L. Wilson, 100, of Inverness, FL formerly of Belding, passed away Monday July 26, 2021 at the Hospice Care Facility in Lecanto, FL. Verna was born on February 14, 1921 in Ionia, the daughter of Albert and Etta (Hunter) Faulkner.

She graduated from Ionia High School with the Class of 1939 and after high school during WWII she worked for the Murray Corporation and AC Spark Plug Company. In later years she worked part time with Dick Outman at the shoe store in Belding and raised her family.  She was married on November 30, 1945 to Dave Wilson and he preceded her in 2008. She was also preceded by her parents, two brothers; Donald Faulkner and Lyle Faulkner, sister; Helen LaVean. Verna is loved and survived by her daughter; Judy Baiardi of Inverness, Fl, grandchildren; Amy Bills (Marie Tenaglio) of Inverness, FL, Jennifer (Justin) Davis of Ocala, FL, great grandchildren; Ashley, Katie, Emily, Wyatt and two sisters-in-law; June Faulkner of Ionia and Peg Faulkner of Lake Odessa and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be 11:30 AM Saturday, August 14, 2021 at River Ridge Cemetery, Belding with Pastor Paul Hulford of the First Congregational Church, Belding officiating. A luncheon will follow the service at the First Congregational Church. Memorials may be given to the First Congregational Church. Envelopes will be available at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding where funeral care has been entrusted.
