Tammy Jo Sutherland

Tammy Jo Sutherland, 52, of Orleans passed away Thursday evening September 9, 2021 at Metro Health Hospital in Wyoming. Tammy was born November 13,  1968 in Grand Rapids, daughter of Joseph J. and Barbara J. (Spaulding) Bailey. She graduated from Saranac High School with the Class of 1986. Tammy enjoyed trips to the casino and in earlier years sewing mostly kids books, pillows, and stuffed animals but could make anything, and having a nice garden. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, who loved her family and will be dearly missed. She is loved and survived by her husband, Neil Sutherland; their children, William (Hannah) Leiter, of Coopersville; Eric (Megan) Leiter, of Belding; Noah (Izola) Sutherland, of Ionia; her grandchildren, Caleb, Austin, Gracyn, Jax, and Revan, who is on the way. She is also survived by her mother, Barbara Fisher, of Orleans; her mother-in-law, JoAnn Sutherland, of Ionia; her sisters, Wendy Bailey, of Waterford; Amy Straub, of Orleans; and several nieces and nephews whom she helped raise and loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Bailey, second father, Dewayne “Papa” Fisher; and a daughter Angel in infancy. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a time to celebrate her life and accomplishments will be held on September 19th at 1pm in Belding at the following link: https://fb.me/e/2YzJPudSt (5947 Zahm Rd, Belding, Michigan 48809).
