Susan M (Vess) Confer

Susan M. Confer 55 of Belding passed away Tuesday evening September 5, 2023, at home under the loving care of her husband and Corewell Health Hospice. Sue was born on March 29, 1968,  in Pontiac, the daughter of Dumitru and Mary (Hall) Vess. She graduated from Free Soil High School with the Class of 1986. Sue was most happy when she was outside being in nature, taking trips to the beach, working in her greenhouse, and selling flowers through her business called, “ Natures Paint” . She had a big love for family, her friends, and animals, especially her four dogs. Sue had also volunteered for Meals on Wheels in Ionia County.  She will be greatly missed and always remembered with a smile for being the loving person she was to all. Sue is loved and survived by her husband Bud and their fur babies, Biscuit, Scrappy, Little Man and Daffy. Sue is also survived by her siblings, Deanna Dawn (Jeffrey) Weber of Greenville, Sharon Lynn (James) Cox of Big Rapids, Jason Scott Vess of Manistee, many cousins, and lots of close and special friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Peggy Gwen Franklin. In keeping with her wishes’ cremation has taken place. A time of visitation with her family will be Saturday September 23, 2023, from 1-3 PM at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.  Following the visitation, a celebration of her life will take place at their home at 5041 Benton Road, Belding, MI. 48809. Memorials may be given to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
