Obituary

Stacey Edwards Laux, age 48, of Sheridan, passed away at a friend’s home on Sunday, May 7, 2023. He was born in Belding on June 16, 1974, the son of James A. Laux and Joyce Jeffrey. Stacey graduated from Central Montcalm High School in 1993. After graduating he attended college for a few semesters until he made a career change to become a CNA. Stacey worked in nursing homes, at Sheridan Hospital and the Metropolitan Hospital. Unfortunately, he recently had to leave his career behind after becoming disabled. Stacey was kind, friendly, and outgoing. He made friends everywhere he went and constantly surrounded himself by them. He is survived by his parents, Joyce (Donald) Jeffrey of Sheridan; brothers, Robert C. Strouse of Belding, James O. Laux of Greenville; and several nephews; a niece; and many friends. Stacey was preceded in death by his father, James A. Laux; and brother, Jeffrey A. Laux. No services are being held at this time.
