Shirley Wayne Bush, 86, of Belding, passed away Sunday evening, February 23, 2020 at Pilgrim Manor in Grand Rapids. Shirley was born on January 30, 1934 in Keokee, VA, the daughter of Curtis and Fannie (Witt) Rivers.
Shirley was a past member of the Belding Bible Church and in earlier years had owned and worked with her husband Don and family at Bush’s Fruit Farm on Zahm Road, south of Belding. She never met a stranger and loved everyone that she met. She often carried Jesus tracts in her purse to pass out to people she met. She enjoyed garage saling, always looking for the best of bargains and later would give away many of her treasures to family and friends. Shirley invested her life in the love of the Lord, her Husband and adored her children and Grandchildren. The guiding principles of her life were her Christian faith and the love of others. She will be greatly and lovingly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald, two sisters; Ofie and Vicky, three brothers; Stoney, Tex and Ronny. Shirley is loved and survived by her children; Kimberly Hall of Comstock Park, Donald Bush of Belding, grandchildren; Tasheena Hall, Naomi Smith (Derek), Breanna Hall, Garrett Hall, Jason Bush (Adrian), great grandchildren; Chaya, Madison, Gideon, Eden and Isaiah, her siblings; Kitty (Curtis) Haddix of OH, Verla (Bob) Pennington of VA, Eddie Sue Jackson of KY, Laura Jo Lawson of KY, Sheila Thompson of MS and Glenda Mohr of IN.
In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. A time to celebrate her life will be held later this spring.
