Shirley T. Beltz, 84, of Belding, passed away Thursday morning, June 24th, 2021, at Mission Point in Belding. She was born on May 30th, 1937, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. The daughter of Quint and Vina (Holt) Humphries. Shirley had retired from the Attwood Corp. of Lowell in 2003 after 27 years of service. She had a big love of animals especially her dogs and cats. Shirley was a kindhearted and generous person who always had time for others. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for others. Her cooking always had a Southern flair and was enjoyed by many. She attended Green Corners Baptist Church, Belding and had a strong faith in her Lord. Shirley is loved and survived by her children Charles A. (Deborah) Beltz, of Cadillac, Kem (Laura) Beltz, Shirlene (Walter) Taylor, all of Belding, her grandchildren Steven (Jessica) Beltz, Brandon (Carolyn) Beltz, Tyler (Sara) Taylor, Garrett Taylor, her great grandchildren, Jaelyn, Onalee, Presley, Blair, Ella and one brother Austin Humphries of Hopkinsville, KY. She was proceeded in death by her parents, a daughter, Tammy, two brothers Bunk Humphries, Billy Humphries, and one sister Christine Long.
Funeral services will be 1pm Monday June 28th, 2021 at Johnson Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Paul Leslie officiating. Visitation will be two hours before the funeral at the funeral home. Interment will be in Otisco Township Cemetery. Memorials my be given to the Ionia County Animal Shelter.
