Sharon K. Stapp, 70, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday June 8, 2021, at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Sharon was born on July 8, 1950 in Fruitport, the daughter of Richard and Agatha (Cogswell) Hysell.
She graduated from Tri-County High School and had later worked for several years at Clarion Technologies in Greenville. Sharon had a huge love of family, especially for her children as well as many other children whom she loved and cared for as if they were her own. If she knew of a child that needed help or a home, she would help with no questions asked. Many a time she would do without to make sure others would have what they might need. She was a big help to the Belding High School Band over the years and enjoyed all the band kids and time spent with their activities. She also enjoyed helping for several years at the “Irish on Ionia Festival” in downtown Grand Rapids. Sharon had strong opinions on the many aspects of life and a number of little sayings she was always willing to share. When she had free time, she enjoyed doing yardwork and spending quiet time at her home next to the Flat River. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Sharon is loved and survived by her children, Scott Osborne, Sam (Darla) Stapp of Belding, Phillip Osborne (Autumn), his children and grandchildren, Kelly (Shane) Stapp, Brian Stapp all of Greenville, Timothy (Melaney) Smith of Belding, Michelle Cook, her children and grandchildren of Howard City, Lisa (Ken) Barnum, her children and grandchildren of Kent City, her grandchildren, Taelor Stapp, Tanner Stapp, Jory Stapp, Taran Jeffrey, Casey Stapp, Peighton Rumney, Taylor Philipsen, Ashton Philipsen, great grandchildren Kaelynn, Hayden, Kellan, Adelay, Braxton, Haiden Lee, Anastasia, Dawson and Wolfie, siblings Rick (Debbie) Hysell of Mulliken, Rex (Cathy) Hysell, Brenda (Jeff) Brunderman and John Hysell all of Florida. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, three sons Joseph Stapp, Jessie Lee Osborne and Ronnie Osborne, two daughters Tina Osborne and Dawn Osborne, sister Janice Benedict and brother Jake Cogswell.
