Shamra Marie Beckwith, age 29, of Orleans, died due to a fatal accident on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. She was born in Carson City on April 18, 1994, the daughter of Scott and Janet (Williams) Lintemuth. Shamra was born and raised in Greenville, graduating from Greenville High School in 2012. While in high school, she was a great student and participated in the choir. Early on, after graduating, Shamra had her first child Joseph Jr. She worked as a server during her entire pregnancy until the moment she went into labor. After he was born, she took time off work to focus on her new baby. Joseph Jr. kept her hands full, but she enjoyed every minute of it. A few years later, she became pregnant with her second child, Aubrey. Shamra, again took more time away from work and focused on being a homemaker, caring for her two children and husband. She was family oriented and always put her family’s needs above her own. Shamra was very involved with her children’s interests and their school activities. Family gatherings were her favorite, she loved to have people over for any occasion. Overall, she really just loved to have fun, and enjoyed having close family and friends near. If Shamra’s personality had to be summed up in two words, it would be sunflowers and hard rock. She was resilient like a sunflower and stood out amongst the others with her bright personality; but she was also her family’s rock; keeping everything organized and making sure her family was taken care of. Shamra had a contagious laugh that will never be forgotten. Aside from the immense love she had for her family she also loved to go to concerts and cheer on Michigan State Basketball. The Mackinac Bridge, Pictured Rocks, and Mackinac Island, will always be Shamra’s and Joe’s home together. Shamra will be wholeheartedly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Beckwith; children, Joseph Beckwith Jr., and Aubrey Beckwith; mothers Janet Lintemuth and Jannette Beckwith; fathers, Scott Lintemuth, and Theodore Beckwith; brothers, Dane VanEss, Sy VanEss; sisters-in-law, Marcy Forrest, and Tammy Beckwith; sister of her heart, Heather Palmonteer; nephews, Laron VanEss, Kevin VanEss, Wyatt VanEss, Jason Forrest; niece, Madison Forrest; and family dog, Prima. A Celebration of Life bonfire will take place on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Shamra and Joseph’s home in Orleans (2185 W. Long Lake Road, Orleans MI 48865) beginning at 10:30 Am, an all-day event.
