Ronald Lamoreaux Obituary

Ronald Clifford Lamoreaux, 70, died Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at his home in Belding,  surrounded by family after a courageous battle with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. A private, family-only burial service has taken place at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, Parnell. Due to the current situation surrounding Covid-19, a Memorial Mass and luncheon will be scheduled by the family for a later date.

Ronald was born on September 24, 1949 in Grand Rapids, he grew up in Comstock Park and the Belding areas. He was a lifelong farmer who loved the land and later in life used his skills as a machinist in the aerospace industry. He was guided by a strong sense of faith and his 49-year marriage to high-school sweetheart and love-of-his-life, Debra. He was a hero to his four children and was adored by his eight grandchildren, whose love of 4-H carries on his agricultural legacy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Bertha; brother Dan and sister-in-law Kathy; and brother-in-law, Bill Frost.

He is survived by wife Debra (Sailer) Lamoreaux; children Jason (Maura) Lamoreaux, Aaron (Meranda) Lamoreaux, Linnea (Brett) Hurley, and Elizabeth Lamoreaux; grandchildren Weston, Brady, Brody and Owen Hurley, Alexis and Jackson Lamoreaux, Hudson Lamoreaux, and Shea Lamoreaux; and siblings Sharon (David) Miller, Mary (Randy) Sweitzer, Kim Frost and Robert Lamoreaux.

The family extends sincere gratitude to Dr. Brett Brinker and the staff of Spectrum Health Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion and also for the wonderful care he received from Faith Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or the Farm School at the Franciscan Life Process Center in Lowell, Michigan, envelopes are available at the funeral home.
