Robert L. Dewey

Robert L. Dewey 88 of Lowell passed away Wednesday morning January 29, 2020 at Metron of Greenville following a short illness. Robert was born in Howard City on October 20, 1931, the son of Dell and Irma (Ballard)  Dewey. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. After the war he worked for many years in concrete  construction.  He enjoyed fishing,  hunting and spending time with family and friends.  He  was married on October 14, 1967 in Sparta to Ruth Heimbecker. Robert is loved and survived by his wife Ruth and  his children; Cherri (Craig) Raterink of Sand Lake, Linda Dewey (Terry), Michelle (Wayne) Bills all of Howard City, Keith (Shannon) Dewey of Belding, Mike (Amy) Dewey of Rockford, a daughter in law; Marie Dewey of Howard City, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, a brother in law; Robert (Priscilla) Heimbecker, and sister in law; Joyce Simmons, many nieces and  nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents,  a son Larry, two sisters; Wilma and June. In keeping with his wish’s cremation has taken place and no funeral will be held. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home where cremation services were entrusted.
