Richard Dayton Reeves

Richard Dayton Reeves, age 76, passed away peacefully in his home Wednesday, February 22, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born November 4, 1946 in Fremont, Michigan, the son of Dayton M. and Margaret (Rottier) Reeves.  A large part of his upbringing revolved around his family's farm, the Double R Ranch. He married his high school sweetheart, Mary Loper, on June 25th 1966. He enjoyed visiting Arizona, working on his ranch, and spending time with his family. Richard is survived by his wife, Mary Reeves (Loper); sisters, Cathie Carpenter (Jim), Peggy Reeves; sons, Rick Reeves (Misty), Joe Reeves (Heidi) and Steve Reeves (Holly); grandchildren, Morgan Gonzalez (Joel), Tayler Reeves-Hodge (Taylor), Mitchell Reeves, Haylie Reeves, Cole Reeves, Melissa Reeves, and Dayton Reeves. He had 4 beautiful great grandchildren; Jordan Gonzalez, Jaxon Gonzalez, Rhett Reeves, and Kayson Reeves. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Dayton and Margaret, and also his sister Donna. A Memorial Mass for Richard will take place at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Parnell on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 11:00 am. Rev. Thomas Cavera will serve as celebrant. The family invites guests to a luncheon at the church following the service. Visitation will take place at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm the evening prior.
