Paul A. Conklin, 74, of Orleans passed away Tuesday morning, August 24, 2021, at Spectrum Heath Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Paul was born on April 10, 1947, in Ionia, the son of Arthur and Bernice (Martin) Conklin. He graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1966 and had worked as a dry wall installer for many years on his own and later retiring from Ritsema Associates of Grand Rapids. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and liked to collect antique farm tractors. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was married on February 4, 1967, in Belding to Kay A. Hessler. Paul is loved and survived by his wife Kay and their children Karie (Mike) Clark, of Belding; Michael (Kim) Conklin, of Orleans; his grandchildren, Justin Nicewander, Aaron (Kim) Conklin, Jessica (Klay) Kunnen, Sean (Jenna) Clark; his great grandchildren, Colette, Hailey, Jeremiah, Wyatt, Kayden, Knash, Cecelia, and his sisters Carol Hansen, of Grand Rapids and Janice (Marco) Loper of Cedar Springs. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, and three sisters: Donna, Charlene, and Beverly. Visitation will be Friday August 27, 2021, from 4 - 6PM at Johnson Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Following visitation, a committal prayer service will take place at the funeral home, not at the cemetery due to weather conditions. Pastor Mike Simmons will officiate. Memorials may be given to the B Foundation or Devos Children’s Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
