Patrick J. O'Connor

Patrick J. O’Connor, 63, of Fenwick, died unexpectedly Monday evening, November 30, 2020 at home. Patrick was born on December 28, 1956 in Grand Haven, the son of Robert and Carrie (Kyser) O’Connor.

He graduated from Belding High School then worked at Electrolux in Greenville for many years, later for Huntington Foam and retired from Ventra in Ionia. Patrick enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, gardening and anything to do with being outside. His biggest love was for his family, especially all of his grandchildren. He was married on June 24, 2019 in Ionia to Marilyn J. Staines.

Patrick is loved and survived by his wife Marilyn and his children; Bonnie (Nials) Maroulis of Stanton, Jessica (Edward) Rowley of Ionia, Bobby Jo O’Connor of Orleans, stepchildren; Brandon (Mary) Ehle, Felicia Ehle and his grandchildren; Cali, Damion, John, Emily, Ruby, Ryder, Olivia, Zane and Cash, one great grandchild on the way, siblings; Tim (Denise) O’Connor of Lansing, Dawn (Terry) Woods of Belding and Dave O’Connor of Orleans. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Robert, Roy and a granddaughter; Madison Elizabeth.

In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place. A time to celebrate his life and accomplishments will take place next year. Memorials may be given to the Downs Syndrome Awareness Association of West Michigan. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
