Patricia O'Connor Obituary

Patricia L. (Hessler) O’Connor 91 of Belding passed away Sunday May 3, 2020 at Green Acres of Lowell. Patricia was born on August 4, 1928 in Grattan, the daughter of Lyle and Fern (Cranmer) Hessler. She graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1946 and had attended Aquinas College. During her working years Patricia was an executive secretary at Federal-Mogul in Greenville, owned Bob & Pat’s (Smyrna Bar) and later retired from the Attwood Corp in Lowell. Patricia like many of the Hesslers had a good sense of humor and liked being with people. She enjoyed baking, canning and gardening. She had a love of family, especially her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her family and many friends. Patricia is loved and survived by her brother David Hessler, her children; Daniel O’Connor (Suzanne Starkweather), Jodi Jakeway (Joe Grys), Patti (Paul) Brandt all of Belding, her grandchildren; Cory O’Connor, Casey & Brian Goodsell, Ryan & Frannie O‘Connor, Sean O’Connor, Patrick & Sonya Jakeway, Daniel Jakeway, Leah Jakeway, Michael Jakeway, Timothy & Amanda Jakeway, Maryrose Jakeway, Kiera Jakeway, Emma Jakeway, Jenna & Justin O’Brien, Jayme O’Connor, her great grandchildren; Breslin O’Connor, Ariyaraine Goodsell, Gabrielle Jakeway, Kaylee Jakeway, Connor Jakeway, Damion Powers, David Clevenger, Judah Wagner, Jorden Robach, Elizabeth Jakeway, Victoria Jakeway, Logan O’Brien, Charlotte O’Brien and her special nieces and nephews; Janet Karasiewicz and her family, Steven Hessler (Anna Shear) and Eric (Terese) Hessler all of Belding. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Timothy O’Connor, granddaughters; Katherine (Jakeway) Wagner, Meggin Jakeway and her brothers; Ted (Betty) Hessler, Jack (Bev) Hessler. Due to the Corona Virus Pandemic, private graveside funeral services will take place at Otisco Township Cemetery, Belding with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Memorials may be given to the Alvah N. Belding Library or Green Acres of Lowell Activities Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
