Norman Sargeant, 74, of Greenville, passed away March 8, 2024, at his son’s home. Norm was born on April 15, 1949, in Blossburg, Pennsylvania, the son of Casper and Ellen Bellow.
A hard worker all his life, he worked for 30 years as a custodian for Belco Industries in Belding, for many years at McDonalds in Belding, and most recently for Streamline Machine Source, Inc, in Greenville. He enjoyed hunting, working on cars, and building all types of trailers as a hobby over the years. In August of 1967, he married Susan Brimmer and together they enjoyed 47 years of marriage until her death in 2014.
Norm is loved and survived by his children; Daniel (Brenda) Sargeant of Palo, Dennis (Debra) Sargeant of Ionia, Darlene Sargeant (David Lundy) of Greenville, his close friend/brother; Bob Mulder of Sidney, Nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, his siblings; Linda (Gerald) Tice of Alabama, Joe (Lucy) Sargeant of Pennsylvania, Donna Sargeant of North Carolina, along with many other extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Susan, his son; Don Sargeant, his brothers; Dan and Roy, and sister Clara Butler.
Memorial services will be held at Johnson Feuerstein Funeral Home on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 2pm with Pastor Archie Messenger officiating. Visitation will be one hour before. Instead of flowers, those wishing to make a contribution in memory of Norm are asked to consider the needs of the family as they cope with Norm’s loss and the costs associated with his passing.
