Merrill R. Krouse

Merrill R. Krouse, 74, of Belding, passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening, February 15, 2020 at home. Merrill was born on August 14, 1945 in Belding, the son of Hearzel and Lucile (Johnston) Krouse.

He graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1963 and later served his country with the Michigan National Guard. He worked as a shipping/receiving supervisor for 40 years at Extruded Metals in Belding.  Merrill loved to collect coins, golf, bowl, hunt and enjoyed many trips to the UP. He married Pamela J. Marvin on January 12, 1980 in Belding. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Merrill is loved and survived by his wife; Pamela, children; Jodie Greenway of Florida, Kirk Krouse, Kimberly Krouse (Bill Smith) all of Belding, Lori (Don) Meloche, Shane Krouse all of Greenville, Kevin Krouse of Belding, grandchildren; Tricia, Melinda, Melissa, Kami, Paige, Jordan, Jesse, Noah, Hali, Jessica and Kassie, 14 great grandchildren, sister; Carlene (Phillip) Howe of Elk Grove, IL, mother-in-law; Ora Marvin (Don Garbow), sister-in-law; Jerri (Terry) Swan and brother-in-law; Jeffrey Marvin.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant daughter Lindsay.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Mike Simmons officiating. Military Honors will be given by the joint Honor Guard of the Belding American Legion and VFW. Private family committal prayers will be in River Ridge Cemetery, Belding. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
