Lynne E. Frantsen, 70, of Belding, died Wednesday evening December 23, 2020 at home under the loving care of her family and Hospice. Lynne was born on February 5, 1950 in Belding, the daughter of Edward and Sylvia (Sower) Phenix. She graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1969. She had worked at Electrolux in Greenville since graduating high school, retiring when the factory closed. Lynne enjoyed knitting, crocheting and shopping. She had bowled on several leagues in the Belding, Greenville and Sheridan areas for many years. As a child she went to the First Church of God in Belding and later in life attended Smyrna Bible Church. Although a bit sassy and a bit ornery, she was a true spitfire, fighter and survivor. She had a heart of gold. Her love of family and close friends was truly unconditional. She would move Heaven and Hell to help you if she could. She is loved and survived by her children, Sylvia (Sean) Alkire of Lowell, Katrina (Todd) Underwood of Lake Odessa, Stanley DePue of Smyrna, Jessica Eberhard of Williamston and Andy Olvera of Texas, her grandchildren, Caitlin, Calvin, Holden, Tiffany, Cole, Seth, Cadence, Natasha, Connor, Ethan, Bradley, Krissy, her great grandchildren, Madilynn, Emmary and her siblings, Russell ( Beverly) Phenix, Julie Hatch all of Mt. View, Arkansas, her lifelong friends, Teri and Robin, and her special friend, Midge. Lynne was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Leslie Phenix. Private graveside funeral services will take place at Otisco Township Cemetery, Belding, with Pastor William Overton officiating. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society for research on Pancreatic Cancer or to the B Foundation. Envelopes are available at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding where funeral care has been entrusted. A special note to Lynne from her children:
I heard you thank me for everything tonight when you kissed me goodbye. All that I have done for you does not seem like nearly enough, considering all you have done for me. Thank you, God, for making Lynne my mom. And thank you, Mom, for being my mom. You are the best Mom ever! You are my best friend. My biggest fan. I have always felt loved, safe and supported. You have given me everything a mom should give her child and then some. You have taught me so much. I love your sassy attitude and that you have never been afraid to be you. I love your fighting spirit. You are such a spit-fire. But most of all, I love your love. Because your love comes straight from the heart. I love you, Mom. With all my heart. Thank you for being my mom.
