Louie H. Walker 94 of Belding went to be with his Lord on Friday afternoon June 12, 2020. Louie was born on March 23, 1926 in Ionia County, the son of Robert and Josephine ( Palmer) Walker. For many years Louie worked in road construction in Michigan. Throughout his life he was blessed with the ability to fix and or restore just about everything. He had restored several airplanes, even built his own single engine plane, restored tractors, and a number of Volkswagen cars. He enjoyed flying his own plane, taking two trips to Alaska with his wife Gladys and many trips to Houston, Texas. In earlier years Louie enjoyed hunting and fishing. He had a love of family and dearly missed his wife Gladys, who preceded him in 2017. He was also preceded by his parents, a brother Stewart Walker and a sister Mildred Goodenough. Louie is loved and survived by his children; Lois (David) Henry of Belding, Dennis (Sue) Walker of Sheridan, Mike (Melody) Walker of Blanchard, Lou Ann (Thomas) Cousinaw of Sheridan, his grandchildren; Carisa(Floyd) Tuttle, Michael ( Katie) Henry, Jason ( Amanda) Henry, Jennifer (Jesse) Nicodemus, Kevin ( Trisha) Walker, Marc ( Erika) Walker, Denise ( Paul) Ruwersma, Holly Walker, Sonja ( Bill) VanVlerah, Keith ( Meghan) Walker, TJ Cousinaw, Kristen Hopkins, Megan ( Nathan) Wilholt, twenty seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. A public visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Due to the Covid 19 Virus, we will observe the 10 persons at a time guideline and ask you wear a mask if possible. The funeral for Louie will be private. The public is also welcome to the graveside committal prayers, Wednesday at 12:30 pm at Clear Lake Cemetery, Fenwick. Pastor Kelly Munger will officiate. After the cemetery service, all are welcome to a luncheon at the New Hope Church of God in Belding. Memorials may be given to the New Hope Church of God, Belding. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
