Lois Henry Obituary

Lois Marie Henry, age 73 of Belding, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, June 2, 2022.  She was born May 4, 1949, in Ionia, the daughter of Louie and Gladys (Moon) Walker.  On November 29, 1969, she married David Henry.  Lois worked for 18 years as a Patient Transport for Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital, a career she enjoyed and excelled at.  She enjoyed gardening, especially tending to her irises, and traveling with her husband in their motor home.  She was an avid antique collector and enjoyed estate and yard sales, always searching for antique postcards from areas with connections to her family.  She canned vegetables and baked wonderful pies, and loved to sing.  She was a faithful Christian and lifelong member of New Hope Church of God.  Lois’ passion was genealogy, and she spent countless hours visiting cemeteries, courthouses, and libraries in search of family history.  She was a wonderful wife and mother, and especially cherished being a grandmother.  Lois is survived by her husband of more than 52 years, David; children, Carisa (Floyd) Tuttle of Belding, Michael (Katherine) Henry of Florida, Jason Henry of Holland, and Jennifer (Jesse) Nicodemus of Belding; grandchildren, Jessica, David, and Laura Tuttle, Jenisa, Jaslyn, Alex and Emma Henry, and Eleanor and Dorothy Nicodemus; brothers, Dennis (Sue) Walker of Sheridan and Michael (Melody) Walker of Blanchard; sister, Lou Ann (Thomas) Cousinaw of Sheridan; sisters-in-law, Lois Ramsey of Elwell, Ann (George) Ranger of Belding, Marjorie Stockton of Belding, and Betty Hodges of Stanton; and many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, Rev. Kelly Munger officiating.  Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 am prior to the service.  Graveside services at Clear Lake Cemetery will immediately follow the funeral service.  Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Alvah N.
