She met the love of her life, Alvin Moll of Belding while working in the office at Gibson’s in Greenville. They married on May 28, 1955, at Day Bethel Baptist Church in McBride, where she was a member prior to her membership at Ashley Baptist Church, Belding for 63 years. Together they raised six children on their dairy farm west of Belding. Leona was preceded in death by her parents, husband Alvin, daughter in law, Debra Klap, her sisters; Francis Augustine of Ithaca, Vergilene Lambert Red of Sumner, her brother Raymond Hansen of McBride, her first born son Bruce passed in September of 2021 and a step grandson Jason Klap in December of 2021. She leaves behind six beloved brothers, Russell of McBride, Laverne (Joyce) of Edmore, Harvey (Darlene) of Alma, Norman (Sandy) of McBride, David of Carson City, Allen (Roxanne) of Sheridan, Harriett (Raymond) Hansen of McBride, Rex (Virgilene) Red of Ithaca, her children, Dan (Kalene) Moll, Calvin Moll, Carolyn (Greg) Smith all of Belding, Mary Ann (Ken) Rittersdorf of Greenville and David Moll of Belding. Leona loved her crafts, going to garage sales, cake decorating, gardening, and canning. She was an active member of her church, the Michigan Milk Producers Association, and many other clubs of Belding over the years. She enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren and neighborhood children as well. She will be greatly missed.
