Leo D. Taylor 74 of Belding passed away Friday evening October 28, 2022, at home under the care of family and Faith Hospice. Leo was born on February 10, 1948, in Ionia, Michigan, the son of Benjamin and Margaret ( Stevens) Taylor. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, 173 Airborne Division, serving two tours of duty during the Vietnam War. In earlier years he enjoyed hunting and fishing and later liked watching television, especially the older shows such as the A-Team, Matlock and Bonanza, just to name a few. He was also a huge Detroit Lions fan and never missed watching them play. Win or lose, he was still a big fan. Leo is survived by his wife Darla and his children, Carrie Parsons of Lowell, Nathan ( Lois) Taylor of Clarksville, Andrea Arlaud of Colorado, Jason Taylor of Stanton, Keith Taylor of Belding, Benjamin Taylor of South Carolina, Christopher Taylor of Cutlerville, several grandchildren, several great grandchildren and his brothers and sister. A celebration of life potluck service will be 2:00 PM Thursday at his home, 5721 Flat River Trail, Belding, Mi. 48809. The joint honor guard of the Belding American Legion and VFW will offer military honors followed by a brief prayer service with Pastor Roger Tahtinen of Smyrna Bible Church officiating. Memorials may be given to the family. Envelopes will be available at the potluck and or Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, where cremation services were entrusted.
