Leland “Lee” R. Harrell, 69, of Belding, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Mission Point of Belding, with his loving family by his side. He was born June 13, 1952, in Greenville, the son of Edward and Donna (Bird) Harrell. Lee graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1971. He proudly served his country in the US Army and the National Guard, as well as Post Commander of the American Legion and the VFW, and also serving with the Honor Guard. He was also a member of the 40\8 Club. Lee loved spending time with his family. He was married on March 26, 1976, in Ionia, to Linda G. Luepkes.
Lee is loved and survived by his wife, Linda, their children, Dorothy (Leonard) Headley, of Greenville, Kenneth (Shannon Smith) Harrell, of Lake Odessa, Brenda (Paul) Wilmsen, of Millington, Illinois, and Ronald (Amanda) Kelly, of Lyons, their eleven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren, his mother, Donna Ann Parks, his siblings, Alan (Anne) Harrell, of Ohio, Dick (Mary) Harrell, of Belding, David (Doreen) Woodman, of Greenville, Doug (Jodi) Harrell, of Belding, Teresa (Joe) Baumann, of Wisconsin, Karen Woodman-Miller of Greenville, and Eddie Harrell, of Belding, and his sister in law, Sherry Harrell, of Greenville.
Lee was preceded in death by his father, his step-mother, Sandy, and his brother, Michael.
A time of visitation will be 2-4 PM Monday, February 28, 2022, at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, followed by a luncheon and Military Honors at 4:30 PM, at the American Legion Post in Belding. Burial will take place at 3 PM, Tuesday, March 1, at Otisco Township Cemetery, Belding, officiated by Pastor Mike Simmons. Memorials may be given to the Family. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home and the America Legion.
