Kevin Dale Dorey

Kevin Dale Dorey, age 60, of Belding, passed away at his home unexpectedly on Thursday, June 29, 2023. He was born in Belding on June 26, 1963, the son of Larry and Donna Dorey. Kevin was born and raised in Belding. He attended Belding High School where he ran Cross Country, Wrestled and was in the FFA (Future Farmers of America). He received many awards for his participation and excellence in his extracurricular school actives. When given the opportunity to buy his own car, he instead purchased a tractor and other farm equipment for FFA. After graduating high school in 1982, he immediately joined the work force. Kevin worked for Dicastal North America in Greenville and where he was recently promoted to Quality Control. Kevin enjoyed NASCAR and tubing down the Flat River with friends; he really enjoyed life to the fullest. Kevin is survived by his son, Elijah Holderbaum, mother, Donna Dorey; siblings, Darin (Karen) Dorey, Carrie (Todd) Peterman, Chris (Ambra) Dorey; nieces and nephew, Samantha Dorey, Kaitlyn Dorey, Addisen (Luke) Peterman, Darby Peterman, Esten Peterman, Mya Dorey, and Collin Dorey. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Dorey. Funeral services for Kevin will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home beginning at 11:00am. Rev. Darwin Hassert will serve as officiant. Visitation will take place from 9:00am to 11:00am prior to the service. Committal services will be held at Otisco Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
