Kenneth F. “ Ken” Geiger 84 of Otisco Township, Belding passed away Friday morning August 19, 2022, at home under the loving care of his family and Spectrum Hospice. Ken was born on March 13, 1938, in Lowell the son of John and Catherine ( Bollock) Geiger. He graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1957 and later served his country in the US Marines Reserve. Ken had worked in the tool & die industry most of his adult life. While tool & die was a trade he liked, his first love was working the farmland around his home. He loved being outside, enjoyed watching the crops grow thru the seasons, had a nice apple orchard and raised pheasants and turkeys .Deep down Ken was a farmer. He was a big sports fan and liked watching MSU and the Detroit Lions. In later years Ken and his wife Gloria enjoyed travel, taking many trips around the United States and several overseas, especially enjoying the trips to Ireland and Italy. Ken had a big love of his wife, children and grandchildren and was looking forward to the birth of his first great grandchild later this year. He was a jokester at heart and liked conversation with people wherever he happened to be. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Ken is loved and survived by his wife Gloria and their children, Kimberly ( John) Grove of Eagle, Craig Geiger of Portland, his grandchildren, Sarah ( Tyler) Pangle, Kristen Grove and fiancée Austin Garcia, Hannah ( Nick) Schuler, Chelsea Geiger, James Geiger and his sister Barb Anstett of Manton. He was preceded by his parents and a brother Jerry. In keeping with Ken’s wishes no visitation or funeral will take place. He asked for a private family graveside service at Ashley Cemetery in Grattan Township. Memorials may be given to the Alvah N. Belding Library, the Veterans Park in Belding or the B Foundation. Envelopes will be available at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding where funeral care has been entrusted. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff and helpers at Spectrum Health Hospice. The loving care given by them was a blessing and allowed Ken to be at home, which he so desired.
