Karlton Geiger

Karlton F. Geiger, 76, of Greenville, passed away Sunday September 13, 2020 at home. Karlton was born on March 8, 1944 in Belding, the son of Karl F. and Frances L. (Mattison) Geiger.

He graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1962 and attended Ferris State College. He enjoyed music, especially the harmonica, and loved to play for everyone around. He was a long-standing member of Grand Rapids Harmonica Club,  as well as the Moose and Eagles. He grew up working with his father at Geiger Water Wells and later owned Greenville Water Well Construction. He was well versed in all types of construction and was known as a jack of all trades. In later years, he enjoyed working in the mail room for the Grand Rapids City Hall.

Karlton is loved and survived by his children; Keith (Kathryn) Geiger of Grand Rapids, Beth (Rod) Stendel of Astatula, FL and Laura (Joel) Fletty of Stevensville, grandchildren; Anya, Kelcey, Audrey, Renee, Lauren, Konrad, Bodhin, great grandchild; Arya. His siblings; Karla (Jim) Anderson of East Grand Rapids, Karlene (Steve) Johnson of Smyrna, Kathleen (Wayne) King of Greenville, Kerry Geiger of Greenville, Kelvin Geiger (Dave Lintula) of Grand Rapids, along with many other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 33 years, Bobbie, who passed last year.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, September 25, 2020 at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Private graveside services will be held in Smyrna Cemetery.
