Judy Kay Benson 72 of Belding passed away Thursday evening May 7, 2020 at Spectrum Health in Greenville. Judy was born on August 12, 1947 in Belding, the daughter of Abner and Belma ( Hogan) Dillenbeck. She graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1965. For many years Judy was well known as a hardworking and friendly waitress at the Village Hearth and the Driftway. She always enjoyed being a waitress and the many friends she had made during those working years. Judy enjoyed crafts, baking, music and reading. Her big love was her family, especially her grandchildren. She had a longtime interest in ghosts, the supernatural and watched the tv program, “ Ancient Aliens” . Judy would often call her daughters up and let them in on the latest facts and news about ancient aliens. Judy will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is loved and survived by her daughters; Angie ( Robert) Nelson of Greenville, Shanna Chase of McBrides, Robin Francis( Greg Moon) of Belding, her grandchildren; Kylie Jo, Courtney, Ryan, Chad, Jordan, Michael, Justin, Meghan, Nathan, Kaitlyn, Brandon, her great grandchildren; Logan, Keegan, Connor, Emma, Kenden, Ellie her brother and sister; Walter Dillenbeck, Joanne Holderman and a special niece; Sandy Kuiper all of Greenville. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Michael and two sisters Joyce Cole and Shirley Johnson. Due to the Covid virus, a private graveside funeral will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery, Belding. Memorials may be given to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
