Juan Jose Ibarra

Juan Jose Ibarra, age 66, of Greenville, passed away at his home surrounded by family on Monday, August 21, 2023. He was born in Laredo, TX, the son of Santiago and Manuela (Flores) Ibarra. Juan graduated from Greenville High School with the class of 1978. For most of his working life he worked in factories and construction as a general laborer. Family was most important to Juan, he always put his family’s needs above his own. Juan was a huge Michigan State fan, he enjoyed cooking and loved to ride bike around town with his nephews. He also loved sports and enjoyed playing football, basketball and pool. He is survived by his mother, Manuela Ibarra; brother, Roberto Ibarra, sisters, Elvira Humphrey, Maria Ibarra, Dolores Ibarra; and many nieces and nephews that he loved very much. He was preceded in death by his father, Santiago Ibarra; and brothers, Antonio Ibarra, and Santiago Ibarra. Funeral Services for Juan will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 held at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home. Visitation will take place at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, and an hour of visitation prior to the service Wednesday morning. Graveside services at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery will follow. Memorial contributions may be directed to the needs of the family.
