Josephine K. Pollock 83 of Greenville passed away Wednesday July 26, 2023, at home under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Michigan. Josephine was born on April 14, 1940, in Belding, the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Kristina) Michalek. She attended Belding Schools and for many years worked in housekeeping at the Winter Inn in Greenville. She enjoyed Nascar and was a big Jeff Gordon fan. Josephine was also one of the biggest Detroit Tigers fans. She watched every game and kept detailed records of each game, the players, and their averages. She has records going back to the 1970’s. She had a love of family and will be greatly missed. Josephine was married on December 14, 1957, in Belding to Gordon Pollock and he preceded her in death as well as her parents, her siblings, Michael, George, Raymond, Richard, Elsie and Betty.
Josephine is loved and survived by her children, Anne (Berle) Henry of Stanton, Joseph (Phyllis) Pollock of McBride, Thomas (Karen) Pollock, Andrew (Bonnie) Pollock both of Greenville, Michael (Lori) Pollock of Stanton, Paul (Heidy) Pollock, Kathryn (James) Bellmer, William (Nikki) Pollock all of Greenville, 26 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, her brother Joseph (Vicky) Michalek of Ohio and two sister in laws, Ruth Michalek and Helen Michalek both of Ohio.
Josephine has chosen to donate her remains to Michigan State University College of Human Medicine for medical research. A time to celebrate her life will be Saturday August 12, 2023, at the Montcalm Township Hall 1880 S. Greenville Road, Greenville, Michigan 48838, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Memorials may be given to the Belding Library. Envelopes will be available Saturday or at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding where final arrangements have been entrusted.
