Jose Garcia Cerron

Jose Garcia Cerron, 66, of Belding passed away unexpectedly in an auto accident on Tuesday April 21, 2020 near Bakersfield, CA. Jose was born on October 4, 1953 in Villa Morelos, Mexico, the son of Octaviano Garcia Lopez and Susana Serrano Garcia. Jose retired from Ventra in Ionia in November of 2016, was an honorary member of the Belding VFW and enjoyed his many friends there. Jose was a handyman who could fix anything. He had a great love of family and will be greatly missed. Jose was married on January 27, 1977 in Mexico to Celia Corana Chavez.

Jose is loved and survived by his wife; Celia and their children; Patricia (JoseLuis) Montero, Oscar (Lourdes) Garcia all of Belding, Jose (Katie) Garcia of Grandville, Arturo Garcia of Comstock Park, Jorge (Elisa) Garcia of Middleville, Alejandro Garcia, Marissa Garcia both of Belding, his grandchildren; Giselle, Cristian, Ximena, Jakob, Ezekiel, his siblings; Emiterio (Francisca) Garcia, Calletano (Magdalena) Garcia, Guadalupe Garcia, his mother; Susana Serrano Garcia, all of Mexico. Jose was preceded in death by his father; Octaviano Garcia Lopez and his son Adan Garcia.

Private family services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Belding with Fr. Oscar Londoño officiating. Committal prayers followed at St. Joseph Cemetery, Belding.
