John Colvin

John Patrick Colvin, 52, of Cedar Springs passed way unexpectedly at home. John was born on March 14, 1969, in South Bend, Indiana, the son of Joseph and Nancy (Cabanaw) Colvin. He graduated from LaVille High School in Indiana with the class of 1987. He later worked for several years with Wolverine Worldwide in Rockford, and later at Cedar Springs Manufacturing. He was a huge Notre Dame fan, enjoyed Nascar, gardening, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is loved and survived by his wife Pamela and his daughter, Ashley (Tony) Lemmen, of Comstock Park; stepson, Scott (Lacey) Ruffin of Cedar Springs; his grandchildren, Jaydan, Braylee, Kinsley, Nevaeh, Skiler, Austin, Rayne, his mother, Nancy Colvin of Comstock Park; and sister, Angela (Heath) Thornton of Indiana. John is preceded in death by his father, a daughter Julie, grandson Aydan, and stepdaughter Breanna Ruffin.

 In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held. Please keep John and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
