Joann P. (Sharp) Brechting

Joann P. Brechting 90 of Rockford passed away Thursday evening September 15, 2022, at Green Acres of Lowell. Joann was born on September 14, 1932, in Saranac, the daughter of Lewis and Lydia Sharp. She graduated from Saranac High School with the class of 1950. In earlier years Joann enjoyed bowling, snowmobiling, going to the dances at Shady Acres near Lowell and taking trips with the church group. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Altar Society and Tops. She was a loving wife and mother and had always worked hard on the family apple farm. She liked to cook and bake and always ran a tidy household. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Joann is loved and survived by her children, Joe (Sue) Brechting of Vestaburg, Mike (Deb) Brechting of Sheridan, Steve (Gail) Brechting of Belding, Tim ( Glenda) Brechting of Radcliff, KY., Mary (Doug) Hamman of Ontario, OR., Bob (Deb) Brechting of Grand Rapids, Susie Hulliberger of Belding, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack, a brother Donald, two sisters, Eleanor and Arlene, a daughter in law, Bu-Suk and a grandson Jack.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Tuesday  September 20, 2022, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 9041 Krupp Rd., Belding, Mi. 48809  with Father Jim Wyse presiding. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 with a rosary prayed at 7:30 PM at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Committal prayers will follow mass at St. Mary Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Faith Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association.
