Jimmie Allen Roberts, age 63, of Belding, was ushered into heaven and welcomed by his Savior Jesus Christ on July 8, 2020. Jimmie was born in Greenville on March 4, 1957, the son of Kenneth and Nancy (Smith) Roberts.
Jimmie liked to spend time around people, he enjoyed his friends, liked watching the birds, playing cribbage and chess and in his younger years, Jimmie enjoyed riding his bike and was known for his skills as an arm wrestler and always enjoyed when someone would challenge him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Surviving Jimmie are his sister; Renay (Charlie) Hobbs of Alto, his brother; Michael (Diana) Roberts of Belding step siblings; Vicki, John, Ronda, Roberta, their spouses and children, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and his stepdad, Robert Guthrie.
A celebration of life for Jimmie will be 11:00 AM Saturday August 8, 2020 at Shiloh Community Church with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral at church. A luncheon will follow the service in the church gym. The family would like to thank all of the people who have provided care and comfort to Jimmie over for the past 30 years, especially his doctors, nurses, physician’s assistants and the countless other medical staff, providers and caregivers. Their love and compassion will never be forgotten. Memorial contributions in memory of Jimmie may be directed toward the Polycystic Kidney Foundation, envelopes are available at the funeral home.
