Jeanette Stang Obituary

Jeanette Sue Stang, 72, of Orleans, went to heaven to play bingo with her family on February 22, 2024.  Jeanette was born on December 31, 1951, in Carson City, the daughter of Wayne and Jean (Carter) Booth.

After high school Jeanette attended Montcalm Community College earning an associate degree. She was an excellent gardener having the most beautiful roses you’d ever seen, she enjoyed fishing, camping, was a professional at cooking and canning, a lover of the Detroit Lions, enjoyed quilting, all animals, chocolate and red velvet cake. Jeanette was a passionate NASCAR fan; you didn’t dare interrupt her when she was watching a race because you were met with a stern voice telling you to wait! She loved reading and especially loved helping people.  She had an open-door policy in her home, she took in countless kids when they needed a warm bed or hot meal, she would help anyone who needed it.  The help came at a cost though, you had to earn your keep, whether it was chopping and stacking wood or helping in the garden, if you stayed there, you earned your way! Jeanette will be missed by all who know her.

Jeanette is loved and survived by her sons; Kevin (Lucy) Stang, Dustin Stang, Aaron (Trina) Stang, Russell Stang, 13 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, her siblings; Joan Highland, Cookie (Charles) Babcock, Donna Clark, Anna (Steve) Meyers, Dale (Margaret Gilmore) Booth, Lewis (Tina) Booth, Billie (Jorge) Prado, her best friends; Gloria Miller, Debbie Wiler, Cindy Denslo, Ingrid Tiller, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister; Mary Tremel, nephews Rusty Booth, Charlie Ritter, Doug Ritter, and a niece Kristy Booth.
