Jean Ruth Johnston, 81, of Greenville passed away Saturday morning September 18, 2021, at home under the loving care of her daughter. Jean was born on January 20, 1940, in Greenville, the daughter of Chester and Esther (Sacdin) Reynolds. She graduated from Greenville High School with the Class of 1958. Jean was a member of the Greenville American Legion and was well known in the Greenville area as the “Pie Lady” for the variety of the delicious pies she made and donated to organizations, groups, family, and friends. She enjoyed crafts, camping, and macramé. For a number of years Jean was a successful real estate agent with Century 21 in Lowell.
Jean is loved and survived by her children, Chris Johnston of Lowell, David Johnston, Teri Sue Smit all of Belding, her grand children Nikki, Rob, Rick, Codey, April (Kory), Shannon ,Brad, Ashley, Stephanie, Frank, and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Ann Rose Addis, Her brother Dennis Reynolds, Her son Rick Johnston, her Husband Elias Frank Johnston, and life companion Dale Kimball
A celebration of her life will be 1:00PM, Thursday, October 14, 2021, at the Greenville American Legion. Pastor Mike Simmons will have a brief prayer service followed by a luncheon. Memorial contributions may be given to the Freedom Wall of Belding. Envelopes will be available at the service and at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding where funeral care has been entrusted.
