Harvey L.. Feathers

Harvey L. Feathers 83 of Sidney, formerly of Ionia,   passed away Saturday August 31, 2019 in Lansing. Harvey was born on November 28, 1935 in Muskegon, the son of Harry and Louise ( Ockert) Feathers.  Harvey was a veteran of the Vietnam War, proudly serving with the U.S. Army. He retired in 1998 from Extruded Metals in Belding after many years of service. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.  Harvey is loved and survived by his children; Kathy Hendrick of Greenville, Pascale ( Brad) Fritz of Sidney, Rick ( Heidi) Feathers of Greenville, his grandchildren; Tara ( Duane) Braman, Casey ( Kara) Hendrick, Kourtland Nielsen, Kody Nielsen, David ( Megan) Grundy,  Brianna Ridgeway, Nicholas Ridgeway, Austin Feathers, 16 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild on the way and his siblings; Rosie, Wilma and Doris. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Janine Truzzi, his companion Barb Stone,  two brothers; Walter, Chuck and four sisters; Virginia, Vivian, Jean and Crystal. Funeral services  will be 11:00 AM Thursday September 5, 2019 at Shiloh Community Church with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Following the funeral,  full military honors will be given by the joint honor guard of the Belding American Legion and VFW with a luncheon after the honors at church. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 PM at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Memorials may be given to the Belding Veterans Park. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
