Guy R. Williams, 59, of Grand Rapids formerly of Belding, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning, March 5, 2018 at home. Guy was born on August 13, 1958 in Greenville, the son of Richard and Marianne (Raimer) Williams.
He graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1977. In 1978 Guy proudly joined the US Army and served for 16 years as a Sergeant being active in Desert Storm. He had a love of cars, especially drag racing. He enjoyed reading mechanical magazines, loved to cook and enjoyed animals. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Guy is loved and survived by his children; Sarah (John) Perry of Orion, IL, Melody Williams of Moline, IL and his children’s mother Nancy Williams of E. Moline, IL., siblings; Laurie Williams of Belding, Richard (Sandra) Williams of Greenville, aunt and uncle Rita and Stuart Citron of Grand Rapids, nephew; Dusty (Lanessa) Williams, cousins; Andrew Citron and Tim (Cameo) Williams. Guy is preceded in death by his parents, uncle Raymond Williams and grandparents; Ed and Mary Williams.
Memorial service will be 6:00 PM Friday, March 9, 2018 at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Mike Simmons officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Private Interment will be in the spring in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Memorials may be given to the Belding Freedom Wall.
