Gerald S Place

Gerald S Place 68 of Belding died unexpectedly Tuesday September 26, 2023 at home. Gerald was born on February 14, 1955 in Lansing, the son of Harry and Irene (Scarborough) Place. In earlier years he attended Lansing Public Schools. Gerald  had lived in Belding for the past 20 years. He enjoyed the area and made some good friendships. Gerald had also worked at the former Belding Christian Nursing Home in the janitorial department. He enjoyed watching James Bond movies. He was preceded by his parents and a sister Joyce Enterline. Gerald is survived by his brother, Terry (LuElla) Johnson of Satsuma, FL., his longtime friend Janice Smith of Grand Rapids, his nieces,  nephews and several friends and neighbors. Funeral services will be Noon on Friday October 6, 2023 at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Simmons officiating.  Visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Memorials may be given to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Private interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Dimondale, MI.
