Gerald D. Miller,73, of Belding, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening, March 11, 2020 at Lacey’s Too, AFC near Lowell. Gerald was born on January 29, 1947 in Hamburg, Germany. Gerald came to the United States with his parents when he was seven years old. After graduating from high school, Gerald heard the call of his country from a speech given by then President John F. Kennedy and he joined the US Army. He proudly served his country for 22 years, including two tours in Vietnam. After his military career he enjoyed just working at a few odd jobs. He was a member of the Belding VFW and enjoyed roller skating. He will be greatly missed.
He married Patricia A. McKenna on July 4, 1999 in Las Vegas. Gerald is loved and survived by his wife Patricia and her children; Chadrick (Lori) Crowley of Stanton and Trisha Crowley ( Ted VanToll) of Lansing, grandchildren; Angel, Chase and Max, sister and brother-in-law; Darlene (Dan) Lane of Detroit.
Graveside services and full military honors will take place in the Spring at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, near Battle Creek. Memorials may be given to a charity of one’s choice. Envelopes will be at the funeral home.
