Gale Moehring Obituary

Gale W. Moehring 74 of Belding passed away Friday morning March 20, 2020 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Gale was born on August 15, 1945 in Greenville, the son of Theodore and Lois ( Wolverton) Moehring. After graduation Gale proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He later graduated from Michigan State University and worked  as an industrial engineer for Gibson’s in Greenville and later retiring from the Chrysler Corp. He enjoyed his collective hobbies of stamps and sports cards as well as hunting, fishing and camping. He loved being on the water and especially enjoyed sailing with a friend. He was a member of the Sheridan VFW and the Belding American Legion. Gale is loved and survived by his children; Devin Moehring of Belding, Tamara ( Ben) Reno of Holland, two grandchildren; Orion  Moehring , Brandon Thomas, his longtime friend and companion; Carolyn, a sister Marge Ford and a brother Bruce McMillian. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Gordon, Gary, Lee and one sister Marlene. A time to celebrate his life and accomplishments will take place later this year. Memorials may be given to the Belding Veterans Park or Henry Ford Hospital. The hospital greatly  helped Gale several years ago when he received a liver transplant.  Envelopes are available at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding where funeral care has been entrusted.
