Freddie ”Fred” L. Williams, 92, of Orleans, passed away Tuesday afternoon on April 20, 2021 at home under the loving care of his family and Spectrum Hospice. Fred was born on December 6, 1928 in Portland , MI, the son of Albert Coon and Hazel F. (Jeffers) Williams.
He retired from Extruded Metals in Belding after 40 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, especially the Two Hearted River in the Upper Peninsula. He also enjoyed camping and traveling in the United States and Canada. He was a longtime member of the Belgreen 7th Day Adventist Church. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Fred married Audrey Magnant on July 1, 1950 in Big Rapids. He is loved and survived by his wife Audrey and their children; Barbara Bradley, Ginger Emelander both of Belding and Elizabeth (Jon) Nichoson of Carson City, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, his brother; Michael Williams of Grand Rapids. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
A private graveside service will take place in Orleans Township Cemetery. Memorials may be given to a charity of one’s choice. Envelopes will be available at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding where funeral care has been entrusted.
