Edgar " Ed" G. Partridge

Edgar “Ed” Partridge 80 of Belding died Wednesday afternoon December 2, 2020 at Spectrum Health Blodgett Campus in East Grand Rapids. Ed was  born on August 16, 1940 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan the son of George and Edna ( Lackey) Partridge. He graduated from Northern Michigan University in 1963 and then took his first teaching position with Belding Area Schools, teaching wood shop and math where he later retired from after many years. He was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church of Belding and enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time at the family hunting cabin up north. Ed liked  conversation with family and friends and enjoyed playing cards. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He was married on July 9, 1966 in Iron River to Susan Maki. Ed is loved and survived by his wife Susan and their children; Kevin ( Tammy) Partridge of Greenville, Kristin ( Mark) Wheeler of Rochester, IL., his grandchildren; Paxton Partridge, James Wheeler, Eric Wheeler, Susan Wheeler, his siblings; Margaret Crawford, Charlotte Mansfield both of Sault Ste. Marie, William ( Mary) Partridge of Port Charlotte, FL., his sister in laws; Beatrice Partridge, Lona Maki, Joyce Ricciardelli, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Clayton Partridge, his  brothers in laws, Wayne Mansfield, Austin Crawford, Michael Ricciardelli and a sister in law, Cynthia Qadri. Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM Sunday, June 27, 2021 at First Congregational Church, Belding with Pastor Paul Hulford officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at church. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Memorials may be given to the First Congregational Church, Belding, The Alvah N. Belding Library or Feeding America.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or at the church.
