Donald L. Badder

Donald “Don” L. Badder, 64, of Ionia, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing surrounded by his loving family.  Don was born on July 31, 1956 in Stanwood.

In earlier years he attended Ionia Public Schools and had worked as a self- employed carpenter. Don enjoyed fishing and trapping turtles. He was a talented mechanic starting to work on cars when he was just five years old. All self-taught he could fix anything with an engine. While a bit stubborn Don had a fierce love of his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He always had time for a cold beer and a cigarette. He also was close to his dog Bandit. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Don is loved and survived by his children; Tenille (Lucas) Lucier of Sheridan, Brandon Badder (Heather Hoppough), Jason (Kristina) Fox all of Ionia and Tonya (Larry) Lucier of Sheridan, the love of his life Carolyn Fox of Ionia, grandchildren; Savannah (Denny), Riley, Taylor, Kayleigh, Morgan, Alyssah, Hunter, Conner, Kameron, Garret, Mason and Kassen, great grandchild Trenton, his brothers and sisters, best friends; Rob Bennett, Dan Henry and Vic Faylor.  Don was preceded in death by his in-laws; Diana and Bud Fox, brother-in-law; Clarence Fox.

Celebration of Life will be 4:00 PM July 10, 2021 at Loyal Riders Motorcycle Club House, 3515 Charles Road, Ionia, Michigan 48846. Memorials may be given to Children’s Trust Fund, 100 W. Main St. PO BOX 358, Ionia, MI 48846 Envelopes will be available at the clubhouse or the funeral home.
