David Eugene Greene

“Well done, thy good and faithful servant.”  (Matthew 25:21)

David Eugene Greene, 81 of Belding, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday July 13, 2022.  He was born on June 17, 1941, to Walter Mayford Green and Laurabelle Brewster Green in Itmann, WV.  In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a sister, Illa Smith; his  brothers, James McCormick and  Jonathon Darrell Green.  He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Brenda Shumate Greene; sons, David D. Greene of Greenville, Brian Greene and wife Katherine Wilson Greene of Greenville, and Matthew Greene of Belding; sister, Janice Hatcher and husband Don of Omaha, NE; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

David was a wonderful, caring, and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be missed more than any words could ever express. David loved attending Grace Bible Chapel and was steadfast in his love for the Lord and prayed that everyone would come to know him.   

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, with Pastor Roger May officiating.  Memorials may be given to Grace Bible Chapel.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.  Memories and messages of condolence may be shared at www.jffh.com.
