Dan B Lake

 Daniel Bruce Lake, 79, of Belding passed away Saturday, December 11th in Bradenton, FL. Dan was born June 29, 1942, in Greenville, Michigan the son of Clarence and Ada Jeanette (Peggy) Lake. Dan graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1961. He was married on July 27, 1963 to Eva Mae Miller for 58 wonderful years as Dan put it. Dan is survived by his wife Eva Mae, their son Dennis Lake, their grandchildren, Christopher, Tyler, Brian, Madeline, Molly, Mitchell, and their step grandchildren, Peter, Jaclyn, and Samantha. Dan worked at Breimeyer Chevrolet as an auto body repair man for 25 years and at State Farm Insurance as an estimator for 18 years. Even after he was retired, Dan held several part time jobs at M-44 Auto Body and at Ray Winnie Auto Sales which he greatly enjoyed. His other part time job was making sure all of the grandchildren’s vehicles stayed running. Dan enjoyed spending winters in Tropic Isle Mobile Home Park in Palmetto, FL for nearly 20 years. Some of his favorite things to do included spending time with family, being out on the water fishing, and restoring old vehicles. He was proceeded in death by his parents, his daughter Kathy Daller (Lake) in 2003, twin sisters Carolyn Donovan in 1990 and Marilyn Chickering in 2008, his youngest brother Steve Lake and his wife Sandy in 2020, his mother-in-law Corinne Wells in 2010, and his brother-in-law Jim Donovan in 1995. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday December 18, 2021, at Shiloh Community Church  with Pastor James Floyd officiating. A luncheon will follow the service at church. Visitation will be Friday December 17, 2021, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Memorials may be given to the B Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church. The family kindly asks those coming to visitation and funeral to please wear a mask.
