Dale Edward Stanton 94 of Grattan Township passed away Thursday evening at home under the care of his family and West Michigan Hospice. He was born on December 28, 1928, in Muskegon County, the son of Joseph and Delsie (Sibary) Stanton. Dale proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from the Kent County Road Commission where he had worked as an equipment service technician. He liked gardening, yard work, fishing and in earlier years hunting. Dale was a quiet man who liked being outside and spend time with his family. Dale is loved and survived by his wife Gwen and their children, Brenda (Rodd) Middlebrook, Kevin Stanton all of Belding, his grandchildren, Chelsea (Shane) Tumbleson, Connor Middlebrook and two sisters in laws, Karen Stanton and Marilynn Stanton. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Ronald, Boyd, Donald, Richard and a daughter in infancy, Kendra. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday June 28, 2023, at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Kevin Heeres of Oakwood Christian Church, Belding officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Committal prayers will follow at Ashley Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Belding Library or the B Foundation.
