Christina Jane Reeves, known affectionately as Janie to her family, passed away at the age of 63 in Belding due to a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis and Dementia. Christina was born on July 7, 1958, in Sheridan, MI to Jesse Kapp and the late Teda Kapp. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Aaron Reeves of Belding and her daughters Missy (Sean) Black, Mindy (Travis) Earley, Mercedes (Josh) Millard, Madison Reeves and Dominic Beers and grandchildren Dugan Black, Tillie Earley, Emery, London and Brecken Millard and Bryson Longway. She is also survived by her siblings Gina (Bill) Balk and Marty Kapp. She was preceded in death by her brother Peter Kapp.
Christina attended Sheridan Elementary, Central Montcalm High School and Calvin College and Aquinas College in pursuit of her Paralegal degree. Christina enjoyed gardening, cooking, shopping, collected angels as a hobby and made the best chili.
A Celebration of Life reception will be held in her honor on January 29, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Johnson Feuerstein Funeral Home located at 203 South Pleasant Street in Belding. The family thanks Mission Point of Belding and Kindred Hospice for their support and special care. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice and the Alzheimer’s Association.
