Charles M Onstwedder

Charles M. Onstwedder, Age 80, of White Cloud, MI, went to his heavenly home on Friday March 18th, 2022, while in the care of the Newago County Compassion Home. Charles was a long-time resident of Orleans, MI, but moved north to be in the woods he loved in October 2012.

Charles was the son of Charles W. and Martha (Rockey) Onstwedder. They prcceded him in death. He had two children, Tammi Onstwedder-Jahnke, and Todd Onstwedder, from his first marriage to Sherrie (Vander Warf) Onstwedder. Later, he married Sandra S. (Baker) Onstwedder, and became the step-father to Angela R Baker, Renee A Baker, and Travis T Baker, who he raised from their early childhood years. He had 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He had one sister Nancy (Onstwedder) Breimayer, who preceded him in death in 2015.

He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing with his sons and family members. In 2012, he moved to the log home of his dreams and spent his remaining years until the day before his death in the home he loved. Other than his wife Sandi, his constant companion was Dexter his dog.  

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, with Pastor Mike Simmons officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8PM at the funeral home.   Committal prayers will follow the service at Orleans Township Cemetery.
