Caroline J. Sage, 91, of Belding died Tuesday morning November 14, 2023, at Country Living AFC Home near Portland. Caroline was born on September 24, 1932, in Fenwick, the daughter of Wilmer and Grace (Baker) Morris. She graduated from Belding High School with the class of 1950 and retired from Belding Area Schools after many years of service as a school secretary. She and her husband Forest loved to travel and were blessed with travelling all over the United States from Maine to Alaska. For many years they wintered in southern Texas. Caroline was a long-time member of Shiloh Community Church. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Forest, and her siblings, Orval, Homer, Clare, Hartly, Wayne, Robert, Earle, Wilmer, Frederick, Inez, Phyllis, Ester, Elsie, Gladys, Laura, and Alice.
Caroline is loved and survived by her sons Jeff (Janice) Sage of Lakefield Minnesota, Ken (Janet) Sage of Rockford, her grandchildren Michael Sage, Matthew (Jamie) Sage, Kevin Sage, Lindsay (Justin) Swanson, her great-grandchildren Chase, Grace, Lucas, Oliver, Maxwell, Jackson, Levi, and Westyn.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, November 20, 2023, at Shiloh Community Church with Pastor James Floyd officiating. Visitation will take place one hour before the service at church with a luncheon to follow services. Private interment will be at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.Memorials may be given to Shiloh Community Church, the Alvah N. Belding Library, or Ionia Area Hospice.
